Rhythm and Company is much more than just a play-a-long. It is a well thought out musical experience which uses lots of exciting songs and activities to help the participants progress. Our sessions are based on the following principles:

1. Age Appropriate

Rhythm and Company offers material that is appropriate to the age of the residents in the session since they are all at different stages developmentally.

2. Music Assistant

Rhythm and Company's aim is to give the best musical experience to both residents and staff. To do this the music assistant has an important role of helping the participants during the sessions, encouraging and motivating them. The assistant will ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

3. Activities

Pitch and rhythm games played
Listening to a wide variety of music.
Interaction with relatives and family - to have a special time together.
Social - residents and staff interact socially having fun and working together.
Lots of percussion playing with quality tuned and untuned instruments.
Rhythmic Imitation - to develop listening skills and imitation of rhythmic patterns.
Singing - to help language development ( does not apply to all residential settings).
Learning how instruments sound and are played ( does not apply to all residential settings).
Percussion playing - to explore different timbre, to help with co-ordination and to develop a sense of pulse.
Movement - to help eye tracking, balance and spatial awareness. To develop confidence and self-expression. To help with muscle development to gain or regain more control over their movements

4. Performing Rights

Rhythm and Company music sessions comply with all legal obligations for MCPS-PRS (Mechanical Copyright Protection Society- Performing Right Society) licensing. We hold the Limited Manufacture License which satisfy its legal requirements.

5. Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Checking

Rhythm and Company takes every measure to reinforce its clients safety. Rhythm and Company personnel members are selected according with their previous experience in care, hold a valid CRB check and receive dedicated training focused on the clients needs.

6. Fully Insured

Rhythm and Company has got a comprehensive Public Liability Insurance Policy in place in the event of an unfortunate incident happening during one of the sessions. All participants and the building are covered.

7. Customer Service

Rhythm and Company’s customers are our main focus. We aim to continue to enhance our business reputation through our Customer Service. Listening to and understanding our customer's needs expand our strong and lasting relationships. Having strong relationships with our thoughtful personnel and leading suppliers help us to provide a high level of service and aim for customer satisfaction.
